Colson Canyon Vineyard

Colson Canyon Vineyard is a spectacular property located in the high North East of the Santa Maria Valley

Colson Canyon Vineyard was planted in 1997 by retired doctor Reo Reiswig with clone 877 and clone 7 from the Rhone Valley. This vineyard has 16 acres of planted vines on a property of 115-acres. The vineyard is planted predominantly with Syrah with small amounts of Grenache. The property faces a large canyon ridge that hugs the Los Padres Nation Forest and has a West facing aspect. Since our first harvest in 2005, the hallmark of Colson Canyon wine has been intense, blue and black fruit mixed with violets and spices.

Soil: Moderately Deep, well drained soils formed from white shale containing some ash, and clay loam.

Elevation: 1300 – 1400 feet

Plummer Vineyard

Plummer Vineyard is a located on the East side of the Estrella district of Paso Robles

Plummer Vineyard was planted in 2002 by retired engineer Joe Plummer. Perfect for warm climate varietals, this 64-acre vineyard is slightly sloped and planted with Petite Sirah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. It was developed with West – South – West to East – North – East row orientation to reduce direct exposure from sunlight during the growing season. This reduces the effects of sunburn during Paso’s notoriously hot summer.

Soil: Consists of very deep, and well-drained soil with a sandy clay loam and mixed shale and sandstone.

Rodney’s Vineyard

Rodney’s Vineyard is a beautiful vineyard located on Foxen Canyon in the Santa Ynez Valley

Named after Fess Parker’s son-in-law, Rodney’s is a 118-acre estate vineyard located on the same property as the Fess Parker Winery. Our block is located in the upper mesa of the estate and is planted predominately with Syrah. Planted in 1996, this Vineyard faces south with a moderately warm climate which provides great conditions to produce full-bodied and complex Syrah with spice and a distinct mineral like expression.

Soil: Fine sandy loam with deep, well-drained soil that is formed in alluvial material from sedimentary rocks

Elevation: 1275 feet

Brick Barn Vineyard

Brick Barn Vineyard is a 35-acre estate located North of the Santa Ynez Vineyard near the city of Buellton

This south facing vineyard lies just 10 miles away from the Pacific Ocean. With the marine influence, it produces extraordinary fruit with intense quality and pedigree.  The varietals on this property are Pinot Noir, Grenache, Cabernet Franc, Syrah,  Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Albariño.

Soil: Bottom low land – Composed mainly with deep well drained sand

Upper High Land – Primarily clay loam with sedimentary chalk and limestone

Elevation: 358 – 420 feet
