2009 Barbieri Syrah Rodney's Vineyard

A Syrah dry red table wine.

Jeb DunnuckWine Advocate #208 Aug 2013
Even better than the 2010 (at the moment anyways), with voluptuous richness and texture, the 2009 Syrah Rodney’s Vineyard offers up gorgeously rich notes of plum liqueur, violets, menthol, toast and licorice to go with a full-bodied, rich and textured feel on the palate. As is common with all of the wines from this estate, there’s good overall freshness and purity of fruit. Drink it over the coming 5-6 years. Drink now-2019.
These impressive Syrahs are made by Master Sommelier Paolo Barbieri and see minimal new oak, lots of lees contact and no fining or filtration. They’re well worth checking out.

2010 Barbieri Syrah Anonymvs

A Syrah dry red table wine.

Jeb DunnuckWine Advocate #208 Aug 2013
Co-fermented with Viognier, the 2010 Syrah Anonymvs is a beauty! Deeply colored, it offers up a fantastic bouquet of blackberries, plum, liquid flowers, violets and bramble to go with a sweetly fruit, supple and decadently textured profile on the palate. Despite the upfront nature here, it stays beautifully fresh and focused, and has real class. It should continue to shine for another 4-5 years, possibly longer. Drink now-2018.

2010 Barbieri Syrah Rodney's Vineyard

A Syrah dry red table wine.

Jeb DunnuckWine Advocate #208 Aug 2013
The 2010 Syrah Rodney’s Vineyard is superb. Elegant and beautifully fresh, with plenty of plum, blueberry, mint and crushed flowers on the nose, it flows onto the palate with a medium to full-bodied, seamless and focused texture. Still youthful and lively, it will drink well through 2020. Drink now-2020.
